All you will need are WiLife cameras and this small, extremely silent PC. Once everything is powered up (plug inserted into the socket), you can begin straight away with the monitoring and recording.
The installed Lük Werks video monitoring software highly evolved and extremely easy to use functionalities. All the cameras in your power supply network can now be viewed live, and settings made.
The system is delivered with the following pre-settings:
- All cameras set for motion detection.
This means that these will begin recording only when they detect motion. This is ideal for monitoring in offices, shops, villas, apartments, courtyards, etc. If something in the image field (which can be set) of the camera moves, the camera will automatically send an e-mail and, if desired, even an SMS. The e-mail will contain a film clip. In this way, one can find out immediately what triggered the alarm, and when.
- Recording
As soon as something moves in front of the cameras, this is recorded digitally on the hard disc. For external monitoring, it is possible to exclude moving branches, trees etc. Together with an effective compression, this results in a very high reduction of data quantities. In this way, it is possible to undertake recordings for months with the system, without having to overwrite the older data.
- Live monitoring
You have two options for live-monitoring. If you have for instance, received an alert by e-mail or SMS, you can switch over to the cameras with the help of the Live-View. This can be done through the WiLife Server or directly on the Fiberworks monitoring server. This is doe through a Remote Console (requires a DSL connection).
- Replay / Reproduction
You will be able to oversee every second of the events through the Fiberworks monitoring server, and a Remote Console. What is special here is that the graphics are designed in such a way that you can see at a glance what events have occurred, at what points in time, and with what intensity. In this way, it becomes easy to recognise the relevant instants and monitor them in detail.
